Chess Grandmaster is a title awarded by FIDE, the world chess organization. Currently there are over 1.300 players listed by FIDE who are holding (or held) this title. We will list here all the grandmasters of whom we know about. ( Should we forget someone please drop us a note )
Players who were active before FIDE awarded the title and who have shown grandmaster like results in the past are listed here too.
Players who are already listed as World Champions or Super Grandmasters aren't listed here.
