The endgame is a part of chess where you should certainly invest some time in. As many chess trainers will tell you, this will improve your tournament results for sure.

Here we provide a list of our favourite endgame books. Each book was reviewed by us and we share here our thoughts.

On over 330 pages the well known IM and author John Watson writes about a general view of the openings. In this first volume he discusses the open and semi-open games. All in all a book interesting for players from 1600 to 1900 ELO. The idea is to learn the basics with this book and then study the details with other books or websites like Chessfriend.com.
